Magnetic South is happy to announce the release of "Ideal Sound" by Daring Ear on limited edition cassette on September 27th. Daring Ear is the new solo project from Aaron Deer (The Horns of Happiness, Wee Giant, former The Impossible Shapes and John Wilkes Booze) and is a departure from solo works of the past. Basement drumsets and fuzzy guitars are switched for classic 80s drum machines and ramshackle synths. Electro-psych joins forces with Deer's in the clouds croon. Further release information still forth-coming. Keep yer ears open.

Wee Giant "Weetoww"
Oakland, CA via Bloomington, IN's Wee Giant released their first and, so far, only full-length recording in the Spring of 2009. Here's what we said about it upon its release:
Fascinating. Aaron Deer and Peter King practice electro saber duelery. The tape itself vibrates.

Organization of Robotic Rights Reform - Audio Awareness Cassette (Free Download)
We here at Magnetic South are happy to present a free limited-time download of the ORRR's first audio awareness cassette. Here's what we said about it's release
Formed in 1985, the Organization of Robotic Rights Reform has continued to spread the word for equal rights for robots in the modern human community. With this audio awareness release the ORRR hopes to spread their message to the masses.
We are proud to be a part of this cassette release with the ORRR. Passion squeaks from robotic output jacks as they preach their circuit board gospel over electrobeat.
